Here's what we know about Staten Island running back Augustus Edwards and Brooklyn defensive end Ebenezer Ogundeko.
Augustus Edwards is rated three stars by Rivals (and the No. 3 New York State recruit), three stars by ESPN and three stars by Scout.
Ebenezer Ogundeko is rated four stars by Rivals (and the No. 1 New York State recruit), four stars by ESPN and three stars by Scout.
Edwards and Ogundeko have made it very clear that they would like to attend the same college together.
The two visited Syracuse together and, according to current Orange Wayne Morgan, had "the time of their lives."
Edwards' former Tottenville teammate Alvin Cornelius is currently on the Syracuse roster.
Ogundeko currently has 17 offers, Edwards has 13 and the only schools who have offered both players are the Syracuse Orange, Rutgers Scarlet Knights, Connecticut Huskies, Boston College Eagles, Maryland Terrapins and Vanderbilt Commodores.
Edwards has decided to announce his decision Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. and has said that his final list will consist solely of Syracuse, Virginia, North Carolina State and Maryland.
Ergo, if the duo do intend to play together, barring a brand new offer for Ogundeko, it's going to be either Syracuse or Maryland. Multiple folks are already calling Syracuse the winner.
The press conference will be streamed live on MSGVaristy.com here. Not since the two-fer of Marcus Sales & Averin Collier could SU pick up a high-profile in-state duo of prospects. Then again, use Sales & Collier as your reminder not to go too nuts even if they do pick SU. It's a long way from elite prospect to senior year.
