When Not Blocking Nose Tackles, Syracuse's Zack Chibane Blocks Subpoenas

When not working hard in the law office or on the football field, Chibane goes full hammock via Twitter.

We learned last year that Syracuse Orange QB Ryan Nassib was going to one-day rule the world of investment banking. SU lineman Zack Chibane is already looking out for Nassib, protecting him on the football field. However, if Nassib one day decides to become the next Bernie Madoff, then Chibane will be able to protect him in the court room as well.

All rise and meet Zack Chibane, Esq.

As he prepares for his senior football season, Chibane also is getting a firsthand feel for what it takes to succeed in the field of law. He has a summer internship at Hancock Estabrook in Syracuse, the same firm Donovan McNabb interned while he was playing for the Orange.

His interest really began to take off last summer, when he worked at the state Supreme Court in downtown Syracuse for Judge John Cherundolo, an All-American tackle for the Orange in the 1970s. Cherundolo is friends with coach Doug Marrone, and helped guide Chibane through the process of considering law school.

Putting in a full day at a law office and playing Division I football and trying to pass all your classes at SU. God bless ya, Chibby. You've earned that hammock nap.

The added benefit of his job is that he gets to keep tabs on the Dome from his office just in case any emergencies arise.
