2012 Pre-Season Preview: Syracuse Orange | July
It seems like an obvious answer, but the biggest difference between the 2010 and 2011 Syracuse teams was the players who graduated and left the program, especially on the defensive side.

2012 Program Preview - Syracuse - Mocking The Draft
A few day 3 options led by Justin Pugh, this Syracuse team just won't have much to offer next April. Given the quality of recent classes, it's not going to be a good stretch on the NFL front for the Orange.

Syracuse to Officially Join ACC Lacrosse in 2014 Season - College Crosse
With the addition of the Orange the ACC is still a member short of qualifying for an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. (Attention N.C. State, Boston College, Florida State, et al.: This is your chance to make the magic happen, people.) Regardless, there aren't going to be too many years when the the league doesn't put its entire membership into May on an at-large basis.

3-point shot: Orange may keep Big East ties - College Basketball Nation Blog - ESPN
When Syracuse announced it was joining the ACC, Orange coach Jim Boeheim told he would consider playing St. John’s in a non-conference game. That would make plenty of sense for the Orange. Syracuse can get into Madison Square Garden through other events but playing the Red Storm would help with the fan base in New York City. The only other Big East foe that I wouldn’t be surprised if Syracuse scheduled at some point would be Georgetown. The two schools have shown no ill will toward each other with Syracuse’s departure. Syracuse will get into DC by playing Maryland in the ACC but there is a strong bond between Hoyas and Orange. I don’t think you’ll see Syracuse clamoring to play Connecticut early in the ACC years.

Pugh has been named to the 43rd Rotary Lombardi Award Official Watch List which honors the nation's top college lineman or linebacker each year. He is one of nine BIG EAST players listed. The Iroquois defeated the Americans, 15-13, for their first win against any U.S. team in international field competition.

Dion Waiters talks growing up in Philadelphia, 'humble and hungry' motto |
"That's just my motto I live by, humble and hungry. You've got to wake up and perfect your craft, every day, and at the end of the day, you know, you get the star power, magazines, photos shoots, but you've got to say humble, you've got to stay grounded. (You've got to keep) the right people around you, who keep you level headed, like my mom, who's like, 'oh, you're not that good,' to continue to push me."

The Jim Boeheim Olympic Report: It's time to get overseas to England |
Some people might still think it would be better somehow if we went back to the days of sending our college guys to the Olympics, but that’s completely off the table now. That’s not even a discussion anymore because it would be a massacre. These international teams can play with our best pro guys. If we played against LeBron James with our best college guys, we’d lose by 100. And we’d lose to teams like Brazil by 80.

Who would you put on Syracuse's Mount Rushmore? |
In coming up with the four personages who would be on Syracuse's Mount Rushmore, I quickly determined that Dave Bing and Carmelo Anthony were no-brainers. I then decided that Derrick Coleman would have to be up there as well.

Donte Greene listed among 7 most underrated NBA free agents |
The Bleacher Report put together a list of the top seven most underrated free agents. These are players who "are either veterans with not many years left in the league or young players who have not reached their full potential yet.''

Ten Freshmen to Watch in 2012 | College Soccer News
GK Alex Bono, Syracuse Starting as a freshman is never easy for a net minder, and while Bono may not get the nod right off the bat, he’s proved to be a strong goalkeeper with his Empire United club side. If he gets a chance to show what he can do for Syracuse, there’s a good chance he may never relinquish that No. 1 jersey.

Top 10 Things To Look Forward To As Syracuse Joins The ACC | Syracuse State Of Mind
In 1996, I fulfilled my Army obligation and moved to North Carolina where I have lived since. This does not make me an expert on the area but it does mean I can share some information that will be helpful as we enter the ACC. With that in mind, I am here to share with you 10 things you should know or experience if you take a road trip for SU games to enhance your experience.
