It's July and a Syracuse Orange QB is already outplaying a USC Trojans QB. Let's keep it up.
Syracuse's Stylin', Profilin', Limousine Riding, Jet Flying, Kiss-Stealing, Wheelin' n' Dealin' Son of a Gun a.k.a. RGLCL a.k.a. Ridiculously Good-Looking Charley Loeb isn't just a pretty face, although we can all agree that if he were, that would be better than most.
No, there's more to the best backup in the business. When it comes to throwing footballs at a moving golf cart, there is literally no one in the nation better than RGLCL.
Syracuse University football backup quarterback Charley Loeb, who has thrown five passes during game his entire college career, bested some of the nation’s top signal-callers Saturday night, winning the Manning Passing Academy’s Quarterback Challenge at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, La.
Among Loeb’s competitors was USC star Matt Barkley, who is expected to be a first-round NFL draft choice in April and who with the Trojans will face the Orange in September at MetLife Stadium in the Meadowlands. Also competing were the likes of Georgia’s Aaron Murray, LSU’s Zach Mettenberger, Arkansas’ Tyler Wilson, and Kentucky’s Morgan Newton.
Loeb was one of only four quarterbacks in the camp to hit a target on a moving golf cart three times. To be fair, he spend most of the off-season throwing to human moving golf cart Adonis Ameen-Moore so he's had practice.
Not only that but unlike all of his competitors, who needed to drop back and get into a game situation in order to do their best, Loeb simply rose and fired.
Unlike the other quarterbacks in the competition, Loeb didn’t go through the dropback steps before throwing. He simply stood stationary and threw.
I haven't checked but I'm assuming the Syracuse.com comments section is chock-a-block with "Bench Nassib!"
No word on whether or not Loeb celebrated the victory with the ladies of the La Tour golf course.
