You're not a true New York celebrity until Madame Tussauds creates a wax statue that kinda looks like you and displays it to tourists from Mississippi who think going to Madame Tussauds is what you're supposed to do when you visit New York City.
Carmelo Anthony has made it...
Posed in his Knicks home white uniform and his signature size-15 Jordan Brand Nike sneakers, which were donated by Anthony, his wax figure stands focused on the basket, ready to shoot a free throw.
Anthony was an active participant in the creation process as well and spent more than three hours with a team of Madame Tussauds studio artists who took hundreds of precise measurements and photos to ensure the accuracy of his wax figure – including the meticulous recreation of Anthony’s signature tattoos.
Here's some video (that you can't embed because NBA.com is dumb) of Carmelo pretending to be his wax figure and scaring people.
Cue a thousand jokes about Carmelo's defensive ability in comparison to a wax figure version of himself...
