It’s a common belief that Syracuse Orange NBA Draft hopeful Dion Waiters has been promised a specific selection in next week’s draft, or at the very least, feels very confident that he will be a top 15 pick.

"Jimmy Lee is the one who started it," said Paparo of the celebrated Orangeman and fellow member of the Greater Syracuse Sports Hall of Fame. "They had films of him, and we did our clinics and stuff with those films. He was the original flopper. And he did it off the ball, too. Jimmy would get defensive position, which was legal. But as soon as a guy got near him, he’d fall on the floor. He was the first guy to do it."

Former Syracuse walk-on Ryan Cahak gets assistant coaching job at Lipscomb University | syracuse.com
Cahak will become a member of Lipscomb coach Scott Sanderson's staff, replacing former assistant Jay Walton. Sanderson, the son of former Alabama coach Wimp Sanderson, just finished his 13th season at Lipscomb. The Bisons went 13-18 last year. Lipscomb transitioned from the NAIA level to the NCAA's Division I level under Sanderson, who has a 210-183 career record at Lipscomb.
