At this Rate, GTKYOM will be over before July. What will we do with ourselves then?

Name: James Jarrett

Position: Strong Safety

Year: Senior

Height: 6'2"

Weight: 202

Hometown: Clinton, NY

High School: Clinton

2011 Stats: Jarrett is a walk on who didn't play in any games last season.

2012 Projections: Again, walk-on.

How'd He Get Here? Jarrett is a semi-local kid who parleyed a successful high school career (950 passing yards, 400 rush yards, 16 total touchdowns as a senior) into a much coveted walk-on spot with the Orange. He joined the team in 2009 and has had the honor of donning the orange helmet ever since. Lucky bastard.

What did Scout/Rivals Say?: Zip, zilch and nada.

Money Quote: On what HCDM brings to the table

He's [Marrone] probably the smartest guy I've ever met with Xs and Os. He commands a lot of respect. He's instilled a lot of confidence in this team.

Links of Wonder: Generic Utica Observer-Dispatch article about how great Jarrett is.

What Does Marrone Think?: HCDM likes Jarrett for his brain, not just his body:

"He’s extremely hard-working. He’s excellent in the room. He helps us with the other quarterbacks. He helps us on the field."

Interesting Nugget O'Interest: Jarrett was "that guy" in high school. The guy who was good at everything, got straight A's and was class president (lettered in Football, basketball, lacrosse and track in addition to being a member of the National Honor Society). He was probably schtupping the prom queen too. Oh, and he competed for the SU punting job back in 2010. Yeah, that guy.

Let's Get a Good Look Atchya: Walk-on, therefore no footage. Instead, you get this (you're welcome):
