The Syracuse Orange women's lacrosse team lost the Big East Tournament Championship Game over the weekend, but that wasn't going to keep them out of the 2012 NCAA Tournament.

The 16-3 Orange earned a No. 4 seed overall and will host the Dartmouth Big Green on Sunday, May 13 at 4 p.m. in the Carrier Dome.

The Orange is making its fifth appearance in the NCAA Tournament in the last six years. Syracuse appeared in four straight NCAA Tournaments from 2000-03 and then returned to the national tournament in 2005. SU competed in four consecutive national tournaments from 2007-10. Syracuse has an all-time record of 6-9 in NCAA Tournament play and has won its last four first-round contests.

Watch the team react to finding out their seed here.

The first meeting between these two teams was a bit of a one-sided affair. The Orange won 22-4. If the Orange win this one, they'll play the winner of No. 5 North Carolina - Navy in the Dome.

Florida (whom Syracuse beat) earned the No. 1 seed overall while perennial powerhouse Northwestern (whom Syracuse lost to by one) is the No. 2 seed. Maryland (whom Syracuse beat) is the No. 3 seed.

It's been an amazing season for the Orange. Be nice to cap it with a Final Four...or even more.
