17. Dallas Mavericks. Dion Waiters, PG/SG, Syracuse. Waiters was a top sixth man for the Orange, and probably could have posted better numbers on a team without so much backcourt depth. But he is expected to impress in workouts and should work his way into the middle of the first round.

It marks the Orange’s highest ranking in the final poll since the program began in 1998. Prior to this season, Syracuse’s best finish in the final rankings was No. 4, which it did in 2008 and 2010.
