In Yahoo! Sports latest 2012 NBA Mock Draft, draft expert Jonathan Givony projects that Syracuse guard Dion Waiters will be selected by the Dallas Mavericks with the 17th pick.

According to the experts over at Draft Express, that pick will be another wing player from the Syracuse Orange basketball team as Dion Waiters is currently slotted with Minnesota. DX's most recent write-up on the 6-foot-4 guard is pretty promising.

17. Dallas Mavericks. Dion Waiters, PG/SG, Syracuse. Waiters was a top sixth man for the Orange, and probably could have posted better numbers on a team without so much backcourt depth. But he is expected to impress in workouts and should work his way into the middle of the first round.
