I know you're itching for another Orangeman profile. I've got what you need.

Name: Cameron Lynch

Year: Sophomore

Nunber: 38

Position: Linebacker

Height: 5'11"

Weight: 223

Hometown: Lawrenceville, GA

High School: Brookwood

2011 Stats: Lynch was among ten true freshmen to see game action last season. He played in 10 games and recorded 35 total tackles, 23 of which were unassisted. He also threw in two sacks for 18 yards for good measure.

2012 Projections: After spring practice, Lynch is listed as the second string weakside line backer. There is, however, a big "OR" between him and the first string WLB, Dyshawn Davis. It's the only such qualifier on the depth chart, so fully expect Lynch to have a shot at the starting job and to see a good amount of time even if he's not the "starter".

How'd He Get Here?: Cam was an all-everything backer in his home state of Georgia and was a member of the Max Prep Sports-U.S. Airforce All-America Second Team. As a senior, he helped the Brookwood Broncos to a 14-1 record and a class AAAAA state championship. He must be one of those genius football players because he received offers offers from the likes of Vanderbilt, Harvard and Air Force before he went with the Orange.

What Did Scout/Rivals Say?: Both gave him three stars, which counts as the recruit lottery for Syracuse. Interpret that as you will.

Money Quote: On being thrust into action early as a frosh:

"It’s a lot of pressure on us young guys. I got some playing time against Wake Forest, so it wasn’t as bad, but other than that it went pretty well."

Links of Wonder: Young Cam talking about his decision to come to Syracuse

What Does Marrone Think?: From a tremendous improvement standpoint, HCDM thinks highly of the young man:

"I think he’s really come along well. Cam Lynch has gotten better each week. We feel very comfortable with his spot and his role."

Interesting Nugget O'Interest: Cam was a letter-winner in track and field. He was a member of the 2010 state championship team, competing in the discus throw (a man after my own heart).
