Last year we counted down every SU football player from Chandler Jones (#99) to Phil Thomas (#1), as you can see here. Well both of those guys (and a few more in between) are gone and it's time to profile the entire 2012 Syracuse Orange football roster starting with the highest number and working out way down. Let's get to it...

Player: Justin Pugh

Number: #67

Position: Offensive Tackle

Year: Senior

Height: 6'6"

Weight: 292

Hometown: Holland, PA

High School: Council Rock South

2011 Stats: Pugh started every game for the Orange and helped pave the way for Antwon Bailey's thousand yard rushing season. He was an All-Big East first team selection.

2012 Projections: Justin has started on the line for HCDM for the past two seasons and there's no reason to think he won't continue to do so. Injury kept him from participating in the 2012 Spring Game, but so long as he's healthy come fall expect Pugh to be an anchor on the O-Line. He's a true veteran, so his role in getting transfers and underclassmen to gel into an effective unit will be critical.

How'd He Get Here: Justin is one of the few bright remnants of the G-Rob era. The big man from Pennsylvania earned a reputation as an outstanding football player and all-around good guy. Pugh signed on with the Orange, the only team that offered him an early scholly, as a high school junior,. After not playing at all as a frosh, he's been a staple on the line in recent years.

What did Scout/Rivals Say?: Scout and Rivals gave him a deuce.

Money Quote: The 6'2", 292 lb. lineman, on arriving in Syracuse at a mere 270:

"Growing up, I was always a little undersized," he said. "So I made sure I had good footwork. As long as I stay in front of those guys, they can't get by me. I also played a little basketball back in the day, so that helps."

Links of Wonder: Know the veteran tackle's every thought @JustinPugh67

What does Marrone Think?: When asked about Pugh's intangibles:

"At the end of the day I ask myself would I let this kid baby-sit my children?"

Interesting Nugget O'Interest: Involved with the Special Olympics and Athletes Helping Athletes. Like I said, All-around good guy.

Let's Get a Good Look Atchya: Big Justin with the pick-six.
