With the 2011-2012 season being complete, it's now time for the SU basketball staff to turn their attention to recruiting. Starting with the 2013 class all the way to 2015, we will fill you in on who the staff is targeting and where everything currently stands in their recruitment.

Derrick Coleman, who the Nets selected with the No. 1 overall pick in the 1990 NBA draft, came in at No. 4. Coleman averaged 19.9 points and 10. 6 rebounds in five years with the Nets. He was the 1991 NBA Rookie of the Year and he helped the Nets to three consecutive playoff appearances in 1992, 1993 and 1994.

Overall, I’m hearing that some 3-4 teams see him as an OLB. I don’t see the suddenness they would want the player to have in coverage. I see him more as a 4-3 or 3-4 defensive end. If he is drafted by a 3-4 team, he will need to bulk up some to be a consistent 5-technique player.
