We talk plenty about the men's programs around here but not quite enough about the women's teams. There's an event on campus today that will talk plenty about Syracuse Orange women's teams and the future ahead of them and their student-athletes.

The Syracuse University Chapter of Women in Sports and Events (WISE) will be presenting a symposium today on campus called "A Word to the WISE: Leveling the Playing Field." It's the first annual event of its kind that will examine obstacles and issues female students entering the professional world will have to face.

The event takes place Tuesday between 2 - 4 p.m. in Joyce Hergenhan Auditorium, located in Newhouse 3, with a reception to follow. The event is free and open to both students and the greater Syracuse community. Parking is available in SU pay lots.

As you might imagine, the event has an ESPN feel to it, with three speakers from the WWL on hand, including anchor Sage Steele.

Check out the full panel here as well as more information on what will be talked about at the event.
