Big City Classic, No. 14 Syracuse Orange vs. No. 8 Duke Blue Devils GameThread

This is the part of the Syracuse Orange lacrosse season when Martin Lawrence rises in slow motion, pulls the phone away from his ear and, while staring off into the distance, says..."Sh*t just got real."

At 4-3, the No. 14 Orange cannot afford to keep losing if they want any chance to remain amongst the living in the land of the lacrosse titans. One such titan, the No. 8 Duke Blue Devils, would like nothing more than to send us hurtling closer and closer to the unknown space referred to as, "Also Receiving Votes." They'll have a chance today when the two teams meet in the 2nd game of the Big City Classic today at MetLife Stadium. The game is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. EST.

The Big City Classic, or as Glaude refers to it, "A City Classic," also features an opening game between Notre Dame and St. John's (1:00 p.m.)and a nightcap featuring the North Carolina Tar Heels and No. 1 John Hopkins (7:00 p.m.).

I would advise you head over to College Crosse while watching the first game, then swing back here to watch the Syracuse game and then make your way back to CC to watch the finale.

Also keep an eye out for new Syracuse uniforms. Nike and STX are partnering up for what is apparently some kind of throwback design, though we won't know for sure until they take the field.
