Syracuse Orange basketball lives on and, as usual, leave it to the women to do what the men can't.

The SU women's team will take on the James Madison Dukes in the JMU Convocation Center in Harrisonburg, VA on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. for the chance to advance to the WNIT finals. They're hoping to get a lot of folks in purple for this one.

The Orange (22-14) have won four-straight in advancing to their first-ever WNIT semifinal. Wins over Hartford, Drexel, Temple and Toledo have gotten them to this point. The Toledo win was especially fulfilling as it avenged a loss to the Rockets in the same spot last season.

The Orange have now advanced to at least the quarters in three consecutive years and made their fifth-consecutive postseason appearance their most successful to date.

You can listen to the game on ESPN 97.7 FM/1200 AM as well as student station WJPZ 89.1 FM. Links to free video and live stats will be available at SUathletics.com.

The winner will face the winner of Oklahoma State and San Diego on Saturday at a TBD location (Thunderdome?).
