Big East Schedules Released: Syracuse Has Four ESPN Network Games

The Big East has finally released its 2012 football schedule, including dates, times and ESPN broadcast information for each team's 13 games.

You already knew what Syracuse's schedule would look like from an opponent perspective, but here's what it looks like with the actual dates:

Sat., Sept. 1 Northwestern

Sat., Sept. 8 Southern California (ABC/ESPN/ESPN2)

Sat., Sept. 15 Stony Brook

Sat., Sept. 22 at Minnesota

Fri., Oct. 5 PITTSBURGH (7 p.m., ESPN)

Sat., Oct. 13 at RUTGERS

Fri., Oct. 19 CONNECTICUT (8 p.m., ESPN)

Sat., Oct. 27 at USF

Sat., Nov. 3 at CINCINNATI

Sat., Nov. 10 LOUISVILLE

Sat., Nov. 17 at Missouri

Fri., Nov. 23 at TEMPLE (ESPN/ESPN2)

You can see everyone else's schedules here. Some initial thoughts after the jump...

We already knew the non-con schedule so no surprises here. 2-2 seems like the safe hope at the moment, though we'll see how Northwestern looks as spring and fall practices roll on. The USC game scares me just looking at it.

Enjoy your home football in October cause the Orange are gone come November. Only one home game (Louisville) and they end at Mizzou and at Temple. In fact, four of the last five games are on the road. Not ideal, especially if we're still fighting for bowl eligibility.

Temple as the season-ender, huh? Guess that means we were supposed to end the year with West Virginia. Quite the trade-off in terms of traditional rival.

Paul Pasqualoni's return to the Carrier Dome is a primetime game. Should be interesting. Wonder how many times they'll bring it up during the telecast...

My ill-informed and uneducated guessing system has us going 2-2 in September, 2-2 in October and 1-3 in November for a grand total of 5-7. Hopefully we see something that change that perception as we get closer to the season.

How bout you, initial thoughts?
