Right now, Syracuse fans across the country are collectively holding their breath until 7:15pm EST tonight when the Orange take on the Wisconsin Badgers in the Sweet 16. The ‘Will They?’ ‘Won’t They?’ win thing is weighing heavily on everyone no matter what city you’re in.
It’d be nice to reach an Elite 8 for the first time since our Championship run in 2003, and what better day for us to play than on March 24th – National Orange Day (Syracuse's 142nd birthday). We just have to get over tonight first. At least they're in good hands in Boston as another big alumni center...
So where are we watching in New York? The usual hotspots like Village Pourhouse, Duke’s, East End Bar & Grill, and every other bar in the city that magically becomes a Cuse bar during basketball season.
In the unfortunate event that this is the end of our run, there are a few events on the orange horizon to look forward to. Namely – lacrosse. Syracuse takes on Duke at 4pm on April 1st at the Meadowlands for the 2012 Big City Classic, which is a pretty easy place to get to for most in the tri-state area.

April 1st, 2012 @ 4pm
New Meadowlands Stadium
East Rutherford, N.J.
The Northern NJ Alumni Club will be hosting a tailgate before hand. If going, please contact the Northern NJ Club President Ira at ira {at} moncominc {dot} com for more information.
Also there’s talk of the SU Yankees Game Day on June 30th for Alumni in the area. 1200 Alumni showed up at Yankee Stadium last year, so this year is bound to be just as ridiculous. Lubinhouse is your go to spot for all info that should be coming in the next few weeks, so make sure to put it on your calendar.
However, this Orange fan is confident that tonight is going to turn out just fine, especially if we play like we did on Saturday against K-State. I’m feeling so good about this that I am actually spending it with a Wisconsin fan friend who’s being brave enough to sport red amongst a sea of orange. Here’s hoping Syracuse – Wisconsin friendly relations aren’t severed for good tonight.
