If you were still hoping to get a Sweet Sixteen ticket from Syracuse University, you're SOL. They're sold out.
Syracuse University’s ticket allotment for the ‘Sweet 16’ of the 2012 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament game in Boston, Mass., is sold out. The No. 1 seed Orange will play 4th-seed Wisconsin on Thursday, March 22 at 7:15 pm (the first game of the session). Cincinnati faces Ohio State in the second game, which will begin 30 minutes after the conclusion of the Syracuse game.
If you're still looking for tickets, I know a way to do that. Otherwise, hopefully you're all set for Thursday.
If you are headed to Boston for the game, you'll need a place to pre-game. The official place to do that is West End Johnnie's (138 Portland St.). That party starts at 4:00 p.m. before the 7:15 p.m. tip-off. The bar is located one block from the Garden and the event is open to all Orange fans--tickets to the game are not required.
If you've got some time to kill Wednesday, Syracuse will hold open practice at the TD Center from 2:10 to 3 p.m. If you like to get videos of crazy dunks and/or sensible lay-ups, this is your place.
And I suppose many of you will need this info. According to reports, Boston is going to reap about $22M in revenue out of this week.
