Sweet Sixteens, they're not just for Syracuse Orange men's basketball anymore.

The women's team has been making some noise in the WNIT and advanced to the Sweet Sixteen with their 65-43 victory last night over the Drexel Dragons.

With the victory, the Orange reaches the 20-win plateau for the fourth consecutive season, and fifth time in the past six seasons.

Taking a cue from the men's modus operandi, the Orange broke off a 21-2 run and held Drexel scoreless for nearly six minutes down the stretch. Iasia Hemingway, Kayla Alexander and Carmen Tyson-Thomas continue to carry Coach Hillsman's squad as they advance.

The Orange defeated Hartford in the opening round, 59-42.

The Orange now advance to the third round of the tournament, and will travel to Temple on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. The winner of that game will play the winner of Toledo-VCU for the right to play in the Final Four (full bracket here), March 28th & 29th.
