Wait, we're allowed to get commitments from guys outside of junior and community college? I did not know this.
DE Malik Brown from William T. Dwyer High School in West Palm Beach committed to play for the Syracuse Orange last night via Twitter.
I so blessed to say that tonight I officially committed to Syracuse University
— Malik Brown (@brownmalik99) December 20, 2012
According to Scout, he had offers from Cincinnati, Illinois, Mississippi State, Purdue and USF. Scout gave him two stars while Rival gave him three. Check out some video on him here.
Syracuse gets a 6'3", 215-pound pass rusher to add to the mix of an already stout defensive line. Certainly not a bad thing to have another one waiting in the wings.
Brown is now the 14th member of the Class of 2013, a class that started to become official Wednesday as some of them signed their LOIs.
