So I won't call this a "rare nonconference road game for Syracuse" because A) The Troy Nunes guys would definitely make fun of me and B) at this point, rare is the elite program that goes on the road all that often anyway. Besides, Syracuse already played San Diego State in San Diego -- albeit on a wind-lapped aircraft carrier, which was hardly a home game for the Aztecs.

The Orange is one of 47 institutions that graduated 75 percent of more of their football student-athletes.

Judging by record and BCS standings alone the Orange appears headed back to the Pinstripe for the second time in three seasons, although if UConn defeats Cincinnati on Saturday the Orange may surpass the Bearcats in that department. The Orange men's basketball team has a busy week ahead of them, starting with a road trip to Arkansas to take on the Razorbacks. After that SU heads back home for three games in six days at the Dome. Michael Carter-Williams has been running the point efficiently so far this young season, tallying 33 assists in his last 3 games.
