With conference Media Day taking place all across the country, preseason polls are starting to trickle out. The latest is the USA Today Coaches Poll.
The IndianaHoosiers starts the year at No. 1 and the Big East favorite Louisville Cardinals starts at No. 2. Kentucky, Ohio State, and Michigan round out the top five.
The Syracuse Orange sneak in the Top Ten at No. 9. It's a fair ranking from the coaches as most Syracuse fans expected them to fall in the 10-15 range. The talent is there but it remains to be seen how C.J. Fair and Michael Carter-Williams adjust into their larger roles with the team. It will also be interesting to see if DaJuan Coleman can provide the inside scoring that SU hasn't had since Rick Jackson and Arinze Onuaku patrolled the paint.
The only other Big East team in the Top 25 is Notre Dame Fighting Irish at No. 23. Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, and Marquette also received votes.
How do you feel about a No. 9 ranking to start the year? Too high? Too low? Just right?
