The 2012 Syracuse Orange recruiting class now has two guys named Myles in it. Rank it whatever you want, it's officially the coolest class in the nation.
CuseNation.com is reporting that DE Myles Hilliard has verbally-committed to play for the Orange in 2012. Hilliard chose the Orange over Pitt, whom he originally-committed to play for, as well as Michigan State, West Virginia, Minnesota and, of course, Akron.
Hilliard is a 6-foot-6, 242-pound player from Bedford, Ohio, joining a long list of recent SU talent from the Buckeye State. Tim Daoust and Tyrone Wheatley are credited with the recruiting effort.
Want to know the main reason a three-star defensive end chose Syracuse over those solid programs? Two words:
"Coach Marrone."
Hilliard more than makes up for the loss of DE Harold Brantley, who spurned SU for Missouri yesterday. He's also an extremely solid addition to the set of incoming defensive linemen in this class. Losing Chandler Jones was tough but the future looks bright with Hilliard, Josh Manley, Zian Jones and the rest.
