This Day in 'Cuse History- January 23rd 1990

During our last trip in the time machine we went to Pitt. It's only fair that this time Pitt comes to the Dome. I know it might not seem fair to pick apart the Panthers again but I'm really enjoying it! They've ruined plenty of my brackets in recent years.

We'll travel back to January 23rd, 1990. On this day, 30,023 came to the Dome and saw the Syracuse Orange(men) take care of Pitt 83-74 . 'Cuse improved to 13-3 and Pitt fell to 6-10. One of my all time faves, D.C. finished with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Stevie Thompson scored 20 and six boards. Billy Owens filled up the stat sheet with 23 points, 10 rebounds, six assists, and five steals.

I though it would be nice to mention another of my all time faves, Conrad McNasty, finished with one rebound in six minutes. This was a star-studded team that also had future first round draft pick Dave Johnson coming off the bench.

It was a lot of fun researching this game as it also reminded me of D.C. during his freshman year and he wasn't even in the game at this time. I just thought I would throw that in there. It's all about the Orange!
