Syracuse Football: Catching Up With the Commits - Ashton Broyld, in Living Color

Thanks to 'Mr. Turner' over at SyracuseFan, we have full game film on Milford Academy!  Click here to see Ashton Broyld and Milford in their 34-28 win over Atlanta from back in August.  Ashton Broyld (QB, 6'3", 235 lbs) is just unfair, he's an absolute freak athlete on this film.

Milford (6-0) defeated Robert Morris 44-0 back on the 19th.  Broyld returned to form, completing 5-of-7 passes for 57 yards, and 2 TDs.  He also ran the ball 7 times for 71 yards and a touchdown.  Tyree Smallwood (RB, 5'10", 165) continues to struggle since returning from injury.  He was held to -1 yards on 3 carries.

As a brief aside, the one commit I won't be covering here is Myles Davis (LB, 6'1", 225) .  You may remember Davis as the first signee of the current freshman class.  He didn't qualify, and was at Milford last year, but an injury derailed his season.  Davis is home catching up on his credits at a local CC, and will be on campus in January if all goes according to plan.

We've seen Tottenville (3-0) star Alvin Cornelius (WR, 6'3", 190) excel on offense and defense, but in their recent 49-6 win over John Adams, Cornelius did most of his damage on special teams.  He caught one ball for 51 yards, and ran back a punt and a kick for touchdowns.

Hershey (4-0) HS star Harold Brantley (DT, 6'3", 280) continues to dominate at fullback as well as defensive tackle.  In a 41-20 win over Cedar Cliff, Brantley carried the ball nine times for 66 yards and two touchdowns, and caught a pass for 25 yards.

Ben Lewis (WR, 6'2", 185) had another great all around game for Middletown (4-0) in their 44-0 win against Frederick.  He caught two passes for 92 yards and a touchdown, including one 75 yard reception.  On defense, he recorded 8 tackles (3 TFL) and 2 sacks.  He also returned 4 punts for 111 total yards.

Palatka HS dropped to 0-3 with a 9-3 loss to Creekside HS.  Leroy Owens (OLB, 6'4", 210) recorded 5 tackles.

Darius Parson (OLB, 6'2", 215) did a little bit of everything for Woodbridge in their game against Gar-Field.  He ran the ball three times for 11 yards, and caught a pass for 12 yards.  Woodbridge dropped to 1-3 with a 14-10 loss.
