When I was a kid, the great Cy Ellsworth was captain and guard for Syracuse, and my family had season tickets. Ellsworth was from my hometown, and he played alongside Donovan McNabb and Marvin Harrison. He had to block dudes like Miami's Warren Sapp. Those were heady days. The Syracuse men’s lacrosse team will conclude its fall practice season with the second annual Orange Alumni Classic at the Carrier Dome on Saturday, Oct. 8. This year’s event features two games. The first is an "Old Timer’s Game" beginning at 2 p.m. The second match starts at 3:30 p.m. and pits a team of past SU greats against the 2011-12 Orange squad.
