Syracuse Orange (1-0) vs. Rhode Island Rams (0-0) GameThread

Doug Marrone, on whether or not the Syracuse Orange can afford to look past the Rhode Island Rams today:

"I just ... you want my personal opinion?" Marrone said at the beginning of the week. "This has nothing to do with me being the head football coach. I just laugh. In our recent history, we were not a very good football team, so how do you ever look ahead or look behind? I’m not even looking at the game we’re playing this Saturday. What I’m trying to make sure of is that we have a great practice today and we do the things that we need to do today to win."

Between that and the way last week's game turned on a dime, keep the USC chatter on the down-low until after and keep the focus on ramming these Rams.

I don't know about you but I'm tired of playing FCS teams and still worrying about the outcome in the 2nd half. I want to see a blitzkrieg the likes of which haven't been seen since the days of McNabb. Treat these URI folks like they're a late 90's Rutgers squad, that's what I say.

Enjoy the game, whether you're at the Dome, in a bar with other Cuse folks or at home on your orange couch. And if you get bored before the game or at halftime, you can always watch "What If Everything Worked Like The BCS" again.
