We're quickly approaching the finish line with these "Get To Knows". Don't get left behind, catch up here.
Dan Conley's cup runneth over with young talent at linebacker. Oliver Vigille is one of the young linebackers who we can look forward to cheering on for the next four or five years. Let's get to know him.
Position: Linebacker
Year: Freshman
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 212
Hometown: Miami, FL
High School: Miami Central
2010 Stats: None, he's a true freshman.
2011 Projections: We have a few freshman who should see time on the field this season, but I'm not sure if Vigille is included in that. He may be a good redshirt candidate unless Marrone & company decide to use him on special teams.
How'd He Get Here?: Oliver's lead recruiter was Scott Shafer, so that should answer that question. The young linebacker chose SU over USF, UCF and Florida International. He claims Florida State was also giving him a look, but never offered.
What'd Scout/Rivals Say?: Scout gave Oliver 2 stars and ranked him #160 among outside linebackers. Rivals gave him the 3 star treatment.
Money Quote: When a player hasn't done much in terms of interviews that are easily found on Google, one must dig deeper, to irrelevant social media sites for answers.

Links of Wonder: Here's a Dave Rahme piece on SU's young linebackers trying to crack the depth chart.
Marrone Thinks:
"Who’s going to step up at linebacker for us and play well?" Marrone wondered "Not only who is going to step up and play but who is going to step up and be competitive, be a backup and give us the type of snaps we need, and who is going to step up and play special teams from that group, because that is where the majority of your special teams comes from."
Interesting Nugget O'Interest: Vigille isn't the only 2011 Miami Central grad on the roster. He came along with fellow SU freshman Durrel Eskridge.
