We're closing in on 30 days remaining before kick-off against Wake Forest, and there are still many an Orangeman to profile. Catch up on the rest of our friends here.
Player: Chris McKenzie
Number: #37
Position: Free Safety
Year: Sophomore
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 206
Hometown: New York, NY
High School: John F. Kennedy
2010 Stats: Nothing - he wasn't on the team yet.
2011 Projections: Unfortunately for Chris, he tore his ACL on April 9th, so he's looking towards 2012.
How'd He Get Here?: It's always interesting to see where our walk-ons come from. I'm not entirely sure what brought Chris to SU, but after high school he attended the Globe Institute of Technology where he played running back and safety, and ran the 100 meters and 4 x 100 relay in track.
What'd Scout/Rivals Say?: Nothing, they don't know Chris like we know Chris.
Money Quote: Chris is the strong, silent type.
Links of Wonder: A concerned Post-Standard reader wonders if Chris gets equal medical care to scholarship players, after news of his ACL tear.
What Does Doug Marrone Think?: I dunno. Go ask him at media day.
Interesting Nugget O'Interest: Chris is majoring in Psychology. I think we all know someone Chris can help.
Let Us Get a Good Look at You: Chris is actually a bit of a YouTube mogul. He seems to have quite the breadth of interests.
