We're counting down every SU football player from Chandler Jones (#99) to Phil Thomas (#1). Keep track of every player profile right here.

Next up on your Orange-Man Orientation, #28, Greg Tobias.

Position: Running Back

Year: Sophomore

Height: 5'10"

Weight: 169

Hometown: Sicklerville, NJ

High School: St. Augustine Prep

2010 Stats: Was not a member of the team, so, none.

2011 Projections: Tobias walked on to the team this spring, so there's that. At 169, he's a little lithe for the RB spot (especially compared to folks like Ameen-Moore) so, if anything, he's looking for special teams duty.

How'd He Get Here?: Greg was a four-year football letterwinner at St. Augustine Prep and he gained 300 yards and scored 3 TDs while also collecting 15 tackles as a senior. As far as I can tell he didn't get much if any interest from FBS schools and enrolled at SU, where he walked on to the team this past spring.

Scouts/Rivals Said: Nothing.

Money Quote: From his Facebook profile...

im da kind of guy dat is shy at first but if you start to talk to me i usually am fun to be around and will always have you laughing. Im a really nice guy and i kno how to have a good time no matter what. Sports is my life football has always been my first love but i also play basketball track. i thank my parents who have raised me to become a better man than the normal guy that is around. i know the values that they have taught me will always be with me throughout my life.

Nice!

Links of Wonder: Pretty sure that's Tobias' Dad coaching this local basketball team.  And yes, that's how stretched I am for info...

Doug Marrone Thinks: Nothing.

Interesting Nugget O'Interest: Greg was a pretty good track & field athlete as well.
