Our old friends the Bucknell Bisons will be making a trip to the Carrier Dome on December 20 when they play the Syracuse Orange for the first time since 2005.
Lest you think this is another school that's going to tear down our RPI, the Bison are coming off a season that ended in the NCAA Tournament:
Head coach Dave Paulsen led Bucknell to a 25-9 overall record and 13-1 Patriot League mark last winter. The Bison captured the Patriot League Tournament title with wins against Army, Lehigh, and Lafayette. The 72-57 victory over Lafayette was enough to earn the Bison a spot in the NCAA tournament, its fifth tournament berth in program history. The 14th-seeded Bison fell in the first round of the NCAA tournament to eventual NCAA champion Connecticut.
The Orange are 8-1 all-time against the Bison, though the last time we met, Bucknell pulled off the upset, 74-69. It's Bison-herding time.
