Syracuse Football: Get To Know Your Orange Man - #55 Robert Trudo

Hometown: Farrell, PA

High School: Farrell 

2010 Stats:  During his senior year of HS, he probably had some fancy pancake blocks and didn't allow too many sacks on offense.  His defensive stats are really impressive though.  He recorded 110 tackles, 3 sacks, 5 forced fumbles, and 4 fumble recoveries.

2011 Projections:  Freshman lineman love redshirts. 

How'd He Get Here:  Trudo committed on his way home from visiting campus last year during the Pitt game.  He was really impressed with the coaching staff, and the College of Engineering.  He chose SU over BC, Cincy, Iowa State, Michigan, Ohio University, Pitt, Toledo, West Virginia, and...wait for it...Akron.

What'd Scout/Rivals Say?:  Scout lists Trudo as a 3-star recruit, while Rivals only has him listed as a 2-star.  We always liked Scout better anyway.

"I believe in what Coach Marrone is trying to do, turning Syracuse into a winning program. The undergrads there, the freshmen and sophomores, I spent some time with them over the weekend. They believe that too. I just wanted to be a part of something special."

What Does Doug Marrone Think?:  I can't find any quotes anywhere, but when he addressed the fans during one practice at Manley this spring when the staff did it's presentation on our staff, he was very proud of what a great student Trudo is.  Trudo held a 3.6 GPA at Farrell HS.

Interesting Nugget O'Interest:  Trudo also lettered in Basketball and Volleyball in High School.  He and Cayden Feifer are probably gonna be boys.
