Is that too vague of a reference? I couldn't find a way to work "Parker" in there.
Anyway, 6-foot-2, 185-pound receiver Ben Lewis from Middletown, Maryland has committed to play for the Orange in 2012.
As a receiver, he caught 48 passes for 911 yards and 13 touchdowns, earning second-team all-state honors. As a defensive end for the Knights, Lewis was credited with 73 tackles (52 solo) and eight sacks.
Lewis said his strength as a receiver is his physical play and his ability to go up and get the ball. He said he was timed in 4.56 seconds in the 40-yard dash.
Ben also had an offer from Towson State and interest from the UConn and East Carolina.
Lewis wasn't rated by Scout or Rivals but we don't let stuff like that stop us, now, do we?
What does Ben bring that's unique and special? Some high school coaches brag about their player's abilities or athleticism. Not Lewis'. He's all about Ben's niceability..
"Ben really exhibited great character by accepting the referee's decision, Lynott said. "He just jumped up and gave him the ball. He didn't cry about it, didn't pout about."
"When someone else on the team scores, he's the first one to sprint to the end zone and pick him up," Lynott said. "When he scores, it's no big deal to him."
