Fab Melo Drops Back Into Full Court Postponement Defense

Today was supposed to be the day that Fab Melo finally appears in Syracuse City Court's domestic violence court over fourth-degree criminal mischief charge. Alas, his appearance has been delayed...again.

Court officials said the case is now scheduled for Melo to appear before Judge Stephen Dougherty July 7.

Fab was originally supposed to appear June 14th but that was pushed back due to a court scheduling problem. This time it was apparently a scheduling conflict for the defense lawyer.

In case you've been living under a rock with the guy in the Geico commercial, Fab is accused of breaking off the turn-signal arm of his girlfriend's car during an argument. She continues to hold an order of protection against him.

This is reminiscent of Delone Carter's court case, which was also delayed twice before being resolved on a reduced charge. The City of Syracuse judicial process is fair, impartial and extremely drawn-out.
