At some point in the 2011-2012 Syracuse basketball season, an ESPN personality will say, "Syracuse has yet to play a game outside New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut or Estonia. It's sickening."
Brandon Triche and Baye Moussa Keita have been invited to training with something called the East Coast All-Stars, a group of college players who will play four games in Estonia in early August. The Syracuse City-State needs a world map.
So what the hell are the East Coast All-Stars?
The East Coast All Stars (ECA) was founded in the summer of 2006. Comprised of the best college talent in the country, the All Stars assemble in the New York City area each summer for a two day training camp. From New York, the team will depart to their European destination for eight days of top flight competition...The team has competed in Holland, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Austria, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic.
The team will play an exhibition game in Estonia on Aug. 3 and then will enter a round-robin event. The team will face the national teams from Sweden, Georgia and Estonia on Aug. 5-7.
So I guess you should just assume Sweden and Georgia (the European and the American one) are home games for SU as well.
