We're counting down every SU football player, one a day, from Chandler Jones (#99) to Phil Thomas (#1). Keep track of every player profille right here.
Next up on your Orange-Man Orientation, #83, Kyle Ishman
Postion: Wide Receiver
Year: Sophomore
Height: 6'1''
Weight: 181 pounds
Hometown: Troy, NY
High School: Troy
2010 Stats: Kyle didn't crack the stat book in any 2010 games.
2011 Projections: Approximately 24 hours after this profile hits the Front Page, Ishman will be arrested for underage drinking and chorussing with players of the Pitt persuasion...
I'm joking (but that doesn't take away from the weirdness that was last week's Jerrod West fiasco).
Ishman guy should see the field sparingly as a receiver in 2011. He's stuck behind a logjam of super talented wideouts, which means for this guy, there's glory to be had on special teams and that's about it.
Scouts/Rivals Said That: Kyle Ishman doesn't exist. Which makes sense because he walked on the football team in 2010.
Money Quote: Kyle Ishman is a quiet dude.
Links of Wonder: Can't do much for you here....
Doug Marrone Thinks: And here either. Anticlimactic I know, but look at it this way: it's a good thing when a coach--or anyone else - doesn't have to talk about your 7th string wideout.
Interesting Nugget O'Interest: Kyle's dad, Brian Ishman, played for SU from 1977-1980, and played with Art Monk. So, when Monk was enshrined in Canton, Ishman Sr. was one of a handful of former teammates there supporting him.
Let Us Get A Good Look Atchya: No videos here, team. Instead, get an eyeful of Ishman signing footballs!
