Syracuse University Athletics - NCAA Run Cut Short For SU; Orange Records Most Successful Season
Syracuse’s NCAA Regional run was cut short with a 5-0 loss to No. 20 LSU (40-17) Saturday, May 21 at Aggie Softball Stadium. Syracuse finishes its most successful season in program history with an overall record of 45-13, registering its first 40-win season.

Though he wouldn’t address the issues that led to Collier’s dismissal from the team, Marrone said recently that he is trying to help Collier attend a different school, possibly just as a student and not for football. Marrone did not say what school, but he said there wasn’t any way Collier would be back with the Orange.

The players and coaches will reunite June 1 in Syracuse and stay in dorms on the Syracuse University campus. Coaches said they'll get in about nine or 10 practices in three days before the Sunday afternoon game.
