On October 8th, you'll watch Syracuse play Tulane in New Orleans and you won't even have to miss Yom Kippur to enjoy the game.
Tulane Assistant Head Coach/Offensive Coordinator Dan Dodd doesn't have to worry about the Yom Kippur issue, or any Tulane-related issue, anymore. He's leaving the program to become the head coach at a different school. Fair enough, except that the school he's going to is a high school.
Dan Dodd, the assistant head football coach at Tulane University, has accepted the position of K-12 athletic director and varsity football coach at Capistrano Valley Christian Schools, the school announced Tuesday. Dodd, a graduate of San Clemente High, replaces Chris Fore, who said he has resigned to pursue other opportunities.
Dodd oversaw an offense that was 80th in the nation in scoring last season. I guess heading to Oklahoma State was out of the question.
Green Wave head coach Bob Toledo is "disappointed, but wishes Dodd and his family the best" and says he'll divide offensive coordinator duties between two current assistants.
