If there's a Pacific Rim basketball league out there, there's a pretty good chance a Syracuse basketball player is dominating it.

Ryan Blackwell has Japan covered, Eric Devendorf conquered New Zealand and now Paul Harris is in line to annex the Philippines into the Syracuse City-State.

We've known for a while now that Paul was having a helluva year overseas, but now it looks like he's about to take it to the next level. Paul Harris: Champion.

Harris is averaging 28 points per game and 12.2 steals for the Tropang Talk N’ Texters this season, and leads the team in scoring, rebounding and steals.

His team beat the Barangay Ginebra Kings 102-83 today in the first of a seven-game series which will decide the PBA Commissioner’s Cup championship.

12.2 steals? That is a lot of steals! (Turns out that's supposed to be rebounds)

Paul chatted with Brent Axe about what it's been like to play over there and how he's finding things. Turns out, it was a great experience from the moment he got there:

"Coming over here I didn’t know what to expect…as soon as I got off the airplane people were taking pictures of me…they just treat me so well," he said.

Is that all it took to keep Paul happy? Snap a couple photos? Where were you guys on that one?
