For the second-straight season, the Syracuse Orange women's team's season ends in the WNIT Elite 8. The Orange watched a 12-point halftime lead evaporate as they lost 71-68 loss in overtime to Toledo.

The final six minutes of regulation featured three lead changes and three ties, but SU’s Elashier Hall made the biggest shot when her floater with 46 seconds remaining sent the game into overtime at 62-62.

In the final minute, the teams exchanged turnovers before SU’s Iasia Hemingway was called for charging with about 10 seconds remaining. On Toledo’s second attempt at getting the ball in play, star point guard Naama Shafir was fouled before the ball was thrown in. She converted the two free throws for a 71-68 lead.

For the first time in the NIT, the Orange played in front of a huge crowd. Unfortunately, it was also their first road game of the tournament. After hosting home crowds of 208, 240 and 286 (yikes, guys), the Orange played in front of a raucous 5K in Toledo.

The game was Erica Morrow's last for SU. She scored 23 and leaves as Syracuse’s second all-time scorer with 1,658 points.

Congrats to Coach Q and the Women's team on a great year. NCAA Tournament time next year...
