It's a very special day for fans of the Syracuse [REDACTED]. It's National [REDACTED] Day!!!
Syracuse University will be celebrating on Thursday, March 24, as the University and SU alumni clubs around the United States mark National [REDACTED] Day. This year marks the 141st anniversary of SU’s founding on March 24, 1870.
On National [REDACTED] Day, we celebrate the University’s rich traditions and join together with our alumni clubs to support our respective communities across the nation," says Cristina Swift, assistant director of alumni relations. "There is no better way to mark SU’s birthday than to display our [REDACTED] spirit and pride through celebration and community outreach."
There will be a birthday celebration from 6-8 p.m. in the Schine Student Center’s Goldstein Auditorium. You can take your photo with Otto;\, play carnival games and mini hoops (Thank God they included mini hoops...), watch student performances, enjoy refreshments, get drawn in your favorite [REDACTED] t-shirt by a caricaturist and watch the presentation of the 2011 [REDACTED] Spirit Award.
If you're on campus and need to make some purchases but don't want to spend too much cash the SU Bookstore will feature a "Bursting with Pride!" promotion. Look for the [REDACTED] balloons throughout the store. Pop the balloon and save from 10 to 60 percent on items throughout the Bookstore. Then go buy yourself an [REDACTED] t-shirt special for National [REDACTED] Day.
Check out the list for the full list of events, deals and special on campus and around the country. GO [REDACTED]!
