A high-scoring win in which the outcome was never really in doubt? Now that's what Syracuse Lacrosse has been missing.

Tim Desko and Tommy Palasek led the charge with four goals apiece as the Orange improved to 5-0 for the first time since 2000 with an 18-13 victory over Albany. Syracuse also improved to 9-0 all-time against Albany.

The Orange took a 9-3 lead into the locker room and never looked back. The score was slightly closer than game really was thanks to Albany scoring six goals against SU's bench players in  the 4th quarter.

Lots of Orange tallied their first scores of the season:

Scoring the first goals of their Orange careers were senior close defender Tom Guadagnolo, senior defensive midfielder Tim Harder and true freshman middie Scott Loy. Senior longstick middie Joel White had a goal and an assist. Junior attackman Collin Donahue picked up his first points in Orange after transferring from Rutgers, two assists. Palasek scored his first goal since transferring in from Johns Hopkins in the first half, then tacked on three more in the second. Senior midfielder Jeff Gilbert scored his first goal of the season, a man-up tally.

Up next, The Mediocre Lacrosse Program Formerly Known As John Hopkins. The Blue Jays are 5-1 and will visit the Carrier Dome on Saturday.
