It goes without saying, the last time Syracuse and UConn played in the Big East Tournament, this happened...
In fact, Syracuse has won four-straight games against UConn in the tourney and the Orange beat UConn earlier this season. That said, Jim Boeheim puts little stock in any of that:
"I don’t take anything out of the Connecticut game,’’ Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim said. "I don’t think they played well. Kemba had probably his worst night of the year and we know that won’t happen (Friday) night.’’
"Kemba Walker can play eight nights in a row,’’ Boeheim said. "They play a lot of guys. I don’t see that being a factor.’’
Alright, geez, Jim. Got it. He's good.
Though yes, Kemba had a very nice day yesterday. We should certainly have the fear of God in us right now.
Gird your loins. Stock up on essentials. Call your loved ones and let them know you won't be around for a while. It's Syracuse and UConn in the Big East Tournament. Georgetown is home watching. All is right in the world.
