Syracuse Still No. 1 In AP, Coaches Polls As Big East Play Begins

Heading into their first Big East game of the year, the 13-0 Syracuse Orange will still be the No. 1 team in all the land for the third-consecutive week.

The Orange received 54 of 65 first-place votes in the AP Poll (compared to last week's 53 out of 64). Ohio State garnered five, Kentucky got four and two able-minded individuals watched Louisville struggle to put away Western Kentucky and still said they were worthy of first-place votes.

No. 9 UConn, No. 12 Georgetown, No. 14 Marquette and No. 22 Pitt round out the conference. Seton Hall did not receive any votes.

In the Coaches Poll, the Orange once again received all but one of the coaches' 31 first-place votes. One guy is still holding out on Ohio State. They're followed by Kentucky, Louisville and Duke. Seton Hall did not receive any votes.

UConn was No. 9, followed by No. 12 Georgetown, No. 13 Marquette and this week's big tumbler No. 22 Pitt.

In the RPI, Syracuse is also No. 1, ahead of Duke, Southern Miss, UConn and Lousiville. The Orange have the No. 5 SOS overall. SO WEAK!

SU is still No. 1 in the SB Nation Power Rankings (I presume) and Bleacher Report rankings.
