Melo’s numbers brought his season total to 79 points, 65 rebounds and 29 blocks. In his freshman year, during which an out of condition Melo struggled mightily, the overmatched kid from Brazil managed just 77 points, 64 rebounds and 25 blocks. In 33 games.
