Syracuse 72 - Florida 68: Late Night Scoop

Welcome back, Scoop. Nice to see you again.

Scoop Jardine scored 12 of his 16 points in the second half, lifting No. 4 Syracuse to a 72-68 win over No. 10 Florida in the Big East/SEC Challenge on Friday.

Jardine also dished out seven assists, grabbed four rebounds and added four steals for the Orange (8-0), who forced 20 Florida turnovers and out-rebounded the Gators, 17-10, on the offensive glass.

Brandon Triche scored 20 points (!) and Kris Joseph added 14 points and five rebounds in the win.

Triche, Joseph and Fab Melo paced the way with seven first-half points for the Orange, who carried a 31-27 lead into the break.

C.J. Fair continued his march to being the best all-around player on the team with nine points and eleven rebounds.

Despite starting, Rakeem Christmas joined Club Two Trillion and never returned to the game after the start. Welcome to Fab's old spot, Rak.

It's the fourth-consecutive year the Orange have started 8-0. Say what you will about what's happening off the court but this is turning into a special basketball team on the court.
