Syracuse vs. NC State: Things To Do In Raleigh When You're No. 1

The No. 1 Syracuse Orange head to Raleigh, North Carolina this Saturday to pop-off against the N.C. St. Wolfpack.

Lots of Syracuse fans are heading down that way as well. You guys should totally get together.

You can do that before the game by joining the SU Alumni Club of Raleigh at Backyard Bistro at 4:30. They'll be waiting for you in the Canes Room, which hopefully is adorned with Carolina Hurricanes gear and not that of the Miami Hurricanes.

FYI, Backyard Bistro is the Home of the Mark Gottfried Show. Don't be afraid to pop off in his general direction if he wanders in.

Keep an eye on their Facebook page for updates. There's also this note about available tickets if you're still looking:

If anyone is looking for tickets to Saturday's game vs. NC State, an alum has 2 extra in the 300 level. $24 each face value. Email SUAlumniRaleigh@hotmail.com if you're interested.

The game itself begins at 6:30pm and will be broadcast on ESPN2. Enjoy your time in the RBC Center because it's going to become PNC Arena very soon.

I couldn't tell you the first thing about Raleigh otherwise so I'm counting on folks familiar with the area to throw some suggestions and ideas in the comments below. I'm guessing there is lots of barbeque.
