Syracuse University is given 12-1 odds of cutting down the nets next March. Only North Carolina (7-2), Kentucky (9-2), Ohio State (15-2) and Duke (10-1) have better odds. Connecticut and Louisville are also 12-1.

The Syracuse Orange football team has lost two games in row. The losses have come to teams many feel the Orange should have beat. Naturally the fans aren't pleased, so when the University posts an invite to the weekly luncheon with the coach on Facebook (something that's done every week) the feedback hasn't exactly been stellar.

In the Big East, I'm pretty excited to see UConn and Syracuse go at it. Both are expected to be great teams this year and those two games could have a big effect on the conference title. It will also be interesting to see how UConn fans react to having Syracuse, a team on its way out the conference door, in their house.
