As stated elsewhere by me, on numerous occasions, this team is frustrating because of the mental things. Turnovers. Poor shot selection. Not enough teamwork on offense. Etc.

However, in 22 games, there has been only one where the effort was questionable. And that was the second half of the Seton Hall game. So... in 43 of the 44 halves of basketball, we have a team that has played hard (even if not as smart as we would like).

We were down by too much in four straight games, all losses. Yet we almost won three of them.

This team may still have a few more losses in it. But 18-6 is not the end of the world. Frankly, I would have taken it if offered.

More important will be for the team to start building up again to get hot in March. You don't want to peak in December or January anyway.

If this team can get 5 more conference wins, they will be fine for a reasonable seed and a nice run.
