Update: Scout was totally just kidding, he has not actually committed, only visiting)
Brooklyn's Ivan Foy verbally-committed to Syracuse football today. That means we now have an Ivan and a Mikhail on the roster, both on the defensive line. Prepare your Rocky IV references and Yakov Smirnoff jokes...
The 6'5", 290-pounder is a teammate of recent SU commit Brandon Reddish and plays offensive guard as well as defensive tackle. He apparently also received interest from Rutgers, Penn State and Pitt but SU was the only school to make an offer.
He was named to the NY Daily New All-City Team alongside fellow SU recruit Terrel Hunt.
The 6-4, 285-pound Foy was a key cog in the line that gave junior QB Marvin Centeno the time to engineer big plays, and he also notched 72 tackles and two sacks on defense.
